Shea Hembrey: How I became 100 artists

--------------------
Haha, this is a genious idea! Inspire to be more creative in individual projects! I like :)

Hope this product makes as good coffee as it looks!

One morning I had to wake up really early for work (5am!!). So I sat down at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and leafed through this Norwegian weekend magazine called D2. They allways have some good articles on new design, and this time I found a real good one!
It is a prototype for a coffee machine made by Øystein Husby, I and just loooved the easthetic, soft shapes that is so beautifully combined with the light wood material! Well done! Can't wait till I'll have one in my own kitchen in the future! :)
This is what he says about the project:
"The espresso maker “Linje” is the result of a Norwegian approach to coffee – a world by and largely dominated by Italian influences.
Through the process we defined some of the core values of Norway and Scandinavia. We have a unique landscape of mountains and vast forests and thus the shape of mountains and use of wood became our inspiration. We transformed these values into a design language, and the result is a truly unique product."

Beautiful postcards

I visited a good friend yesterday and she had a bunch of these really beautiful postcards! It's Beck Söndergaard's Autumn/Winter-collection that are beeing presented and I love the way they have combined the photo and the illustrations!
I took a picture of them, but the color is much better presented at their own webpage: http://www.becksondergaard.com/index.html

The illustrations are made by Sven. N. Bommes and the photos are taken by Olivia Frølich

New blog, new experiences - here we go!

Ok, so this is my very first post as a blogger! Hurray!!
This whole blog-world is a bit new to me. Or no, that is not entirely correct; I am very aware of all the blogs that's been created, but never been a creater of one myself. But there's a first time for everything, right? By the way, I am a Norwegian student moving to London for BA Graphic Design, and therefor you will see several spelling mistakes in the begining. And perhaps in the next three years as well.. or ten.. Anyway! So please, be patient with me :)
Have fun!
