Hope this product makes as good coffee as it looks!

One morning I had to wake up really early for work (5am!!). So I sat down at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and leafed through this Norwegian weekend magazine called D2. They allways have some good articles on new design, and this time I found a real good one!
It is a prototype for a coffee machine made by Øystein Husby, I and just loooved the easthetic, soft shapes that is so beautifully combined with the light wood material! Well done! Can't wait till I'll have one in my own kitchen in the future! :)
This is what he says about the project:
"The espresso maker “Linje” is the result of a Norwegian approach to coffee – a world by and largely dominated by Italian influences.
Through the process we defined some of the core values of Norway and Scandinavia. We have a unique landscape of mountains and vast forests and thus the shape of mountains and use of wood became our inspiration. We transformed these values into a design language, and the result is a truly unique product."

  3. Det ser ikke ut som om de har kommet med en pris på den enda, ettersom det foreløpig kun er en prototyp. Blir spennende å se om de får den ut i produksjon - da SKAL jeg ha en (hvis den lager god kaffe) :D
