The universal logo for Human Rights has been chosen!

Maybe a little embarrassing that I haven't seen this until now since it actually was revealed 23th September, but anyway this is the chosen universal logo for Human Rights; "Free as a man":

"From over 15,000 submission from more than 190 countries, people have chosen a winner. The Human Rights logo is an open source product, free to be used by everyone, everywhere - for the purpose of promoting and protecting Human Rights."

Great factors about this logo, I think, is that it is easy reconisable, simple and easy to draw / create by everyone. I also liked the combination of the bird and the hand. A good and creative way of using the positive and negative space.

My only problem with it is that the final logo seem a bit unfinished... But considering it was crowdsourced the result could have been so much worse!

It is made by the 32-year old Serbian designer Predrag Stakić and his words after winning the competition was:
“One logo can’t change the world, including this one. But this logo is a symbol which could gather people – and people can change the world”.
Well said.
